Introduction

HeyDidYou ("the App") is a voice-based reminder and task checklist app for Android. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights.

Data Storage

All data created in the App — including task groups, task items, schedules, acknowledgment history, and settings — is stored locally on your device using an on-device database. No data is uploaded to external servers or cloud services. We do not operate any backend servers.

Permissions

The App requests the following permissions, each only when needed:

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Used solely to record custom voice reminders for your tasks. Audio recordings are saved locally on your device and are never transmitted or shared.
• SMS (SEND_SMS): Used only when you opt in to the missed reminder SMS notification feature. SMS messages are sent directly from your device to the phone number you specify. We do not intercept, store, or transmit these messages.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to deliver reminder notifications and persistent alerts.
• Alarms (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM): Used to trigger reminders at your scheduled times.

Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The App functions entirely offline and does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

Google Play Billing

The App offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade purchased through Google Play. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play. We do not have access to your payment information.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. All data remains on-device and under the control of the device owner.

Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate with any third-party services other than Google Play Billing for in-app purchases. No data is shared with third parties.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
