1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using HeyDidYou ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not install or use the App.
2. Description of Service
HeyDidYou is an offline-first voice safety check-in and task reminder application for Android. The App enables users and caregivers to set up scheduled check-in routines, play text-to-speech or recorded audio reminders, trigger repeating Safety Pulses, and automatically dispatch emergency SMS alerts to a designated phone number if check-ins remain unconfirmed.
3. 100% Free & Pricing Policy
HeyDidYou is provided completely free of charge. There are no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no locked features, and no advertisements. All capabilities — including unlimited task groups, custom voice recordings, up to 10 Safety Pulses, PIN protection, caregiver SMS alerts, and full history reporting — are unlocked for all users.
4. User Responsibilities & SMS Usage
When configuring and using the App, you agree to:
- Use the App only for legitimate personal, family safety, or daily routine management purposes.
- Ensure that any phone number configured for emergency SMS alerts belongs to a designated caregiver or contact who has explicitly consented to receive text messages.
- Comply with all applicable cellular, telecom, and privacy laws regarding automated or triggered SMS messaging.
- Not misuse the App to send unsolicited messages, spam, or harassment.
Carrier Message Rates
Emergency caregiver SMS alerts are transmitted directly from your device using your standard cellular plan. Standard carrier text messaging rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier contract.
5. Data Privacy & Local Storage
HeyDidYou operates with strict local-first privacy. We do not operate external databases, cloud servers, or remote analytics trackers. All data (including PINs, schedules, recorded voice audio, and caregiver phone numbers) is stored exclusively on your local device. For complete details, please read our Privacy Policy.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. While HeyDidYou uses native Android exact system alarms (`setAlarmClock()`) to maximize reliability, device-level power management (such as battery optimization, manufacturer Doze restrictions, or Do Not Disturb settings) may occasionally impact alarm delivery. The App should be used as a supplementary tool and not as a replacement for emergency services (e.g. 911 / 999 / 112).
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GHCreationX shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or reliance damages resulting from your use of the App, including missed reminders, device power exhaustion, or unreceived SMS notifications.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, including software code, branding, artwork, and visual design, is the intellectual property of GHCreationX. All rights reserved.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms from time to time. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised date stamp.
